INFORMATION & ADVICE

Aegir Damas Steel has a perfect pattern for knife blades and jewelry.

Its range of applications range from cutlery and knife blades to jewellery and, more generally, all products with significant corrosion resistance and hardness.

Origin of the name damas steel Ægir?

In Nordic mythology, the giant Ægir personifies the sea and bears its name (Ægir means "sea" in Icelandic old). His nine daughters personify the waves and his brothers are the fire and the wind.

Ægir is among the giants but he has friendly relations with the gods, although traditionally the giants are the enemies of the gods.

He is invited to a banquet of the gods in Ásgard, the fortress city of Heaven, and he in turn invites the gods and goddesses in Bifröst for a feast.

Ægir and her 9 daughters brew beer for this banquet in a huge cauldron and the feast offered is worthy of praise.

The pattern of the damas steel DS93XTM is tumultuous in the image of the sea shaken by waves. Yet, like the giant whose name he bears, he will seduce and suit all shapes and dimensions of blades.
