Satanite, refractory clay for tempering lines
Satanite is a refractory clay that makes it possible to make selective dips: by insulating the back of the blade by means of clay, only the edge of your blade will take the dip. Beyond the aesthetic aspect (because it is possible to reveal the demarcation between the two zones with iron perchloride), selective dips allow to increase the flexibility of your blade, since the back, untremped, will retain a certain ductility.
A reference of tempering oil for each use.
Soak oil is an essential for your heat treatment. Specially designed for thermal treatment, our quenching oils are available in 10 liters cans, ideal for filling your dip tray. The TO19R is a highly versatile accelerated quench oil, suitable for all steel types. INO 235 is a very accelerated quenching oil, which will be recommended especially for high carbon steels, without alloy elements (type XC75, XC100, C130...) - even if it is suitable for all grades of steel, carbons like stainless steel!
Condursal and strip for your protective atmospheres.
To avoid decarburation and to improve the quality of quenching, it is highly recommended to soak your stainless steels in a protective atmosphere. Stainless steel foil or Condorsal protective paint, these two products guarantee you optimal results and a considerable saving of time at the workshop!
