Santoku blades in Suminagashi VG10 are already soaked, ground and polished: the most critical steps have already been carried out according to the temperatures and processes recommended to guarantee hardness and ductility to the blade. All you have to do is reveal the patterns of steel with iron perchloride, then shape the handle according to your desires: the end of it and the number of drills that dress it will allow you to customize it in your own way.
These Santoku blades were made of stainless steel Suminagashi VG10: this very special shade is a multilayer steel. It is composed of a central core made of VG10 steel, renowned for its cutting quality. The latter is surrounded on each side by 33 layers of non-threshing stainless steel, which allow the blade to maintain flexibility and ductility. These layers can also be revealed by overactivated iron perchloride to obtain a visually sumptuous result. The Suminagashi VG10 is particularly suitable for making kitchen knives: it is therefore perfect for this Santoku!
