EUROTECHNI IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
For the shaping of your knife sleeves, this G10 Damascus Blister model combines originality and resistance.
They are composed of layers of woven glass fiber, impregnated with coloured epoxy resin following random and original patterns.
The G10 Damascus plates are treated hot under high pressure for complete drying and hardening.
The composite material thus obtained combines qualities that are particularly appreciated in all fields of the industry, and particularly in cutlery:
- High resistance.
- Very low moisture absorption.
- High level of electrical insulation.
- High level of chemical resistance.
- High thermal strength (maximum operating temperature: 140°C - 284°F).
- High level of ignition resistance (94HB NEMA standard).
The plates are then cut on a horizontal or vertical plane, revealing motifs as surprising as they were original.
This composite material, with exceptional properties, was first developed for the advanced industry (aeronautics, aerospace, automotive construction, computer and electrical industries).
Under its name FR-4 (abbreviation of the English Flame Retardant 4) it is the flagship material of electrical construction and the manufacture of electronic card holders.
For its exceptional qualities of strength and ease of machining, the G10 is used in many applications such as:
- Nautical applications.
- Gear.
- Guides.
- Electrical and thermal insulation.
- Various gabarits and fixations.
- Knife handles.
- Gun butt coverings.
- Chickens.
- Skates with wheels.
For the creation of original and unique knives, Coloured Damascus G10 Plates are widely used in cutlery settings for the shaping of folding or fixed blade knife sleeves and the manufacture of mitres or inserts.
For the perfect customization of folding knives, the G10 Damascus Coloured Plates offer a remarkable and original aesthetic after shaping and polishing.
The kitchen or outdoor knives with fixed blade, in addition to an incomparable aesthetic, will be provided with exceptional resistance under extreme conditions of use and with great ease of maintenance.
In our range of Blisters G10 Damascus, the most difficult for the cutlery will probably stop its preference on the choice of shades.
We offer 5 shades on anthracite black background:
- muticolor.
- Orange.
- Blue.
- Red.
- White.
All the creativity of the cutlery will be expressed with its choice of shade for a perfect harmony of its works.
The machining, sanding and polishing of composite materials, in general, and G10 in particular, are very easily done with usual tools (saws, drills, strawberries, discs and abrasive papers).
The G10 Damascus Blisters consist of an assembly of woven glass fiber and dried epoxy resin, hardened under high pressure, which gives them exceptional strength.
However, if the abrasive properties of the fibreglass do not affect the ease, accuracy and quality of the machining, they may be more challenging for conventional steel tools or standard abrasives.
These will be blunted or worn out more quickly and it will be necessary to reshape more frequently.
Abrasive tapes and discs will also be used faster and will need to be changed more regularly.
To extend the use of composite machining tools, it is preferable to use carbide tools and abrasives for a valuable time saving, but also for substantial savings of money.
