EUROTECHNI IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
Designed and developed by Robert Waldorf Loveless, the world-famous American cutlery, this assembly system will perfectly replace the traditional rivets with rosette to mount the sleeves of full silk fixed blade knives called also flat sole.
The assembly becomes easier, more precise and the screw clamping of the pads of the handle better controlled by avoiding possible incidents due to repeated hammering of rivets.
This Loveless screw assembly system is done without the use of a hammer.
This screwdriver consists of a stainless steel screw of Ø4 mm x 40 mm in length and 2 stainless steel cylinder nuts of Ø7 mm x 6 mm in length.
After drilling the handle pads for the screw passage, bore the holes in the pads to a very slightly smaller diameter than the diameter of the nuts of Ø7 mm to a maximum depth of 6 mm to make the housings of the two nuts cylinder. The two cylinder nuts shall be held sufficiently to prevent them from turning at the clamp, but without excess to avoid undue stress on the sleeve pads.
Screw one of the cylinders until you come to the end of the screw head, then engage the whole on one side of the handle.
Then position the second cylinder on the other side of the handle and tighten with a hexagonal 6-pan 3 mm BTR key to the contact and block the assembly moderately but firmly.
All you have to do now is cut the screw heads on one side and the screw part that passes on the other side of the handle, sand and polish the whole for a robust and permanent mounting.
This convenient Loveless assembly system allows mounting all types of knife sleeves up to 40 mm thick.
After sanding and polishing, this Loveless screws screws and stainless steel nuts present the appearance of classic rivets with increased strength that will avoid any risk of breakage due to a shock, for example.
The Loveless stainless steel screws and nuts system is particularly recommended for the assembly of knives subjected to a hostile and humid environment such as survival equipment, bushcraft or marine.
