EUROTECHNI IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
Cutlery assembly is the ultimate step before sharpening and polishing.
The adjustment of each of the pieces, and especially those of the closing knives, will be crucial to obtain a perfect knife.
To facilitate assembly operations and obtain adjustments to the 100th of a millimetre, fixed-pilot laminate cutters greatly simplify drilling, adjusting and setting up the axes, rivets, screws or even knife bearings.
With our lamer cutters, you are sure to get a flat seat and a perfect alignment of the holding parts.
The "pilot", the part with the smallest diameter of the laminate strawberry, makes it possible to perfectly center the drilling of a housing with rivets, screws, spacers, rosettes or bearings.
The strawberry itself, with its flat profile, will create a housing of the desired dimensions, and especially a flat seat that will avoid any risk of poor support of your parts and therefore of a "left" mounting.
All our laminate strawberries are resharpenable for an extended life.
Our lamer strawberries are mainly for cutlery, amateur or professional, to facilitate their assembly operations.
With diameters of 4.05 to 9.65 mm and 1.95 to 5.45 mm for the driver, our laminate cutters are perfectly suited to the various knife mounting elements.
Used before or after drilling your parts, our precision cutters are designed in diameters suitable for mounting components such as axes and spacers, wires and rivets, rosettes, bearings and washers and mounting screws used in cutlery.
To help you choose the right tool, the following table will direct you to the components that are perfectly suited for precision mounting.
Reference | d2 (mm) | Use |
AAFLC009 | 4.05 | Cyl head screw. M2 |
AAFLC002 | 4.05 | Cyl head screw. M2 / Ø3 axes |
AAFLC001 | 5.05 | Rosettes Ø5 x 2.4 |
AAFLC010 | 5.65 | Cyl head screw. M3 |
AAFLC003 | 5.65 | Cyl head screw. M3 + Ø4 axes |
AAFLC006 | 6.05 | Loveless screws |
AAFLC005 | 7.05 | Chicago screw |
AAFLC007 | 7.05 | Corby Rivets |
AAFLC004 | 8.05 | Pivot screw M3 + Bearing Ø4 |
AAFLC008 | 9.65 | Bearings 5.2 x 9.65 |
AAFLC017 | 10.05 | Bearings 5 x 10 |
The drills thus made are clear, without blush and allow mounting without excessive effort, without play, and with perfect maintenance of each part.
Made of tungsten carbide, our laminate strawberries can be used on a wide range of materials, thus providing a highly appreciated versatility.
In cutlery, materials as diverse as wood, horn, composite materials, ferrous or non-ferrous metals can be used which are all challenges for their perfect machining.
With our versatile laminate strawberries, all types of cutlery materials can be machined according to a simple rule: high speed for soft materials (up to 15,000 rpm for aluminum) and slow speed for hard materials (about 1,100 rpm for titanium).
Depending on this simple rule, the operator will adjust the rotation speed of the tool according to his observations of the result on the material worked.
As with any use of precision tools, the use of our laminate strawberries using a column drill with depth guide is highly recommended and even indispensable.
The workpiece must be firmly held (ideally in a vice) and the wearing of protective equipment is strongly recommended (glasses, gloves, etc.).
Adjusting is a meticulous operation that will prove as simple as the tools used will be adapted.
The final assembly, of absolute precision, becomes a child's play.
The use of our laminate strawberries in the production of the tunings of your mechanical cutlery parts is the guarantee of a perfect finish and fit, thus avoiding (sometimes) the many rarely satisfactory and always time-consuming recovery operations.
Saving valuable time is always useful.
* Mechanical lamination: A lamage is a flat-bottom drill used to ensure the head's reach of a screw, nut or puck.
