INFORMATION & ADVICE

The essentials of the blacksmith's workshop.

In the blacksmith's workshop, pliers and pliers are among the tools essential for the safe maintenance of the parts to be worked.

There is a very wide range as varied as there are blacksmith corporations: Ferronnier d'art, Maréchal-ferrant, Coutelier, etc.

Each of these specialties requires the use of blacksmith's clips that could be termed "standard", but these are specific to the occupations exercised, to the materials worked.

The rule of the game being that the blacksmith can ensure a firm maintenance of the piece he works for, both to work safely but also and above all to ensure the greatest precision to each of his gestures.

Eurotechni has selected for you a range of high quality blacksmith clamps, forged in Germany in a solid steel C35 (XC38) for basic use of the blacksmith cutlery.

The flat jaw blacksmith clamps.

These clamps are the most essential classic accessories in the blacksmith's workshop.

For a good grip and a firm hold of the part, it is advisable to use a clamp related to the volume of the worked part.

In cutlery, the blade forge, or even bristles, can request the use of steels up to 8 mm thick.

These flat jaw clips are available in 2 versions:

- 300mm version for optimal grip and maintenance of 6mm thick parts (Ref. AAPIN534030).

- 400mm version for optimal grip and maintenance of 8mm thick parts (Ref. AAPIN534040).

The "wolf's dick" blacksmith clamps.

The work at the forge has always required suitable tools, including clamps, for a firm and stable grip of the pieces to be forged.

Ingenious, practical and clever, they have often forged their own tools for precise use.

The jaw clips called "wolf's mouth" are the fruit of these needs.

The jaws are provided with a V groove in their centre, in the direction of the jaws, which allows to maintain circular, ovoid bars or any other geometric shapes except flat bars which will be better held by appropriate clamps.

Perpendicular in the sense of the jaws, 3 U-shaped furrows allow to keep the bars across with effective power and good stability.

Like the flat jaw clips, the "wolf tail" jaw clips are available in two versions for optimal and secure maintenance of the pieces:

- 300mm version for optimal grip and maintenance of 6mm section parts (Ref. AAPIN538030).

- 400mm version for optimal grip and maintenance of 8mm section parts (Ref. AAPIN538040).

Whatever versions of the desired blacksmith clips, do not hesitate to consult our experts for advice or a need for models with superior capabilities.
