Discover Svavner, the new DS93X Damasteel.

Svavner is the brand new pattern of Damasteel, released in late summer 2022. Like all the shades of Damascus DS93X of the Swedish manufacturer, the Damasteel DS93X Svavner is obtained by powder metallurgy, guaranteeing a very high purity of steel. The DS93X is composed of two grades of steel, the PMC27 and the very famous RWL34, allowing to combine with the aesthetic qualities of the patterns all the advantages of this technical steel grade for cutlery:

- High hardness permitted after hardening and regressing of the blade;

- Excellent corrosion resistance;

- Easy work and polishing.

Thus, all DS93X patterns of Damasteel suitable for knife blades in damas of all types as well as for appearance pieces or jewellery - for our goldsmith friends, Damasteel also offers a range of Damascus steels specially designed for making rings and jewelry in Damascus, the DS95X steels.

Svavner, a new figure in Nordic mythology.

Faithful to tradition, Damasteel chose a new figure of the Nordic mythological pantheon to name its brand new stainless Damascus steel motif for cutlery: Svavner, the "carrier of sleep", is one of the dragons constantly biting the roots of Yggdrasil, the tree supporting the nine worlds of Nordic mythology. The DS93X Svavner is a geometric pattern as harmonious as it is symmetrical. Regardless of the width of the blade, the DS93X Svavner will give your next blades an unmeasured elegance.
