The "IDEALE" PIERRE has been designed for demanding users who want to move with a single tool from a rough sharpening to a perfect finish.

After a first sharpening on the grained side, just turn the stone to finish with the smooth side.

A double treatment for a mixed PIERRE.

This double-sided stone in natural sandstone of the Pyrenees received a first finishing treatment known as "drinking" (mechanical balance for about 1h30 in a water pan with gravel), then a smooth finish by a polishing under watering with an abrasive strip.

This double treatment allows to obtain a mixed stone with one side seeded for a good grip and the other very smooth for a perfect finish and a remarkable edge.

Naturally homogeneous at extraction, the natural stones of the Pyrenees are composed of a schistose sandstone of mineralogic purity and exceptional grain finesse. Stone shaping and finishing are done on site using traditional ancestral methods.

It can be used dry but also with water for less aggressive contact on the metal blades.

Easy use and simplified maintenance.

No special maintenance is required except, from time to time, and when regular use leaves traces of metal deposits, a brushing made with hot water with a little soap or dishwashing fluid followed by a meticulous rinse.
