Cut by water jet (to avoid any risk of deformation) according to extremely precise dimensions, their generous dimensions will adapt to any shape of knife handle.

What is the chain lock mechanism on a folding knife?

The system called "liner lock" (literally "platinum locking") is the most commonly used blade locking system in the high-end cutlery and EDC. The spring, traditionally located on the back of the blade, is here integrated directly into the plate, therefore hidden in the handle. The "lockbar", cut into the plate, will be placed behind the pivot, preventing the blade from closing. Simply push back the lockbar with its finger to unlock the mechanism and close the blade gently.

Titanium grade 5 TA6V aeronautical, rectified, high quality.

These pairs of folding liner lock knife plates were cut into very high quality Titane grade 5 TA6V plates. They have been rectified, to obtain perfectly flat surfaces and uniform thicknesses, indispensable for any high precision work.

Titanium is highly valued in cutlery for its many qualities: excellent corrosion resistance, high ductility, lightness, low thermal conductivity and insensitivity to magnetization. Alloyed with aluminium/vanadium, the titanium Grade 5 TA6V has an out-of-standard elasticity, which is ideal for the shaping of plate for liner lock folding knives.

Titanium grade 5 TA6V is known to be more difficult to work than stainless steel, requiring suitable tools: with our already cut pairs of folding liner lock knife plates, you save valuable time in the workshop!

A water jet cutting for an extremely precise result.

Our grade 5 titanium plate pairs for folding liner lock knife have been cut not by laser, but by water jet: this method allows to considerably limit the deformations of the material, while avoiding heating and respecting extremely precise dimensions. We have chosen to keep generous dimensions (you can find the dimensions of our plates in the web site's image gallery) to allow you a greater creative amplitude: whether your handle is straight or curved, our plates allow (practically) all templates! Our plates are 122 mm long for a height of 37 mm, with a thickness of 1.5 mm.
