EUROTECHNI IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
Richlite is an ecological material for high quality knife sleeves made from cellulose fibres (paper layers) and heat-hardening resin.
Richlite combines strength, resistance and sustainability with respect for the environment. The manufacturing process consists of alternating layers of sheets of paper (to have the best stability and balance possible) before pressing them hot, allowing to obtain a robust, dense and usable material (drilling, taping, etc.), all homogeneous and vacuum-free.
Made from paper (certified FSC or recycled) and ecological resin (Eco Bind), once worked, it allows to give a china, matt and marbled aesthetic to your knife handle, with as bonus the softness of leather to the touch.
The eco-friendly material for grey sleeves is at first dark grey, then takes a small shade of bronze.
Whether it is industrial, leisure or culinary, once worked, Richlite gives an interesting aesthetic look with excellent performance, including:
- scratch resistant
- heat resistant up to 176°C (self-extinguishing: eliminates the heat source)
- High resistance to chemicals and stains
- naturally antimicrobial (JIS 2801) and easy to clean
- Insoluble in water

Richlite was environmentally friendly and began its business by developing natural fibre composites for aerospace and industry in 1943. Then, this material opened up to the maritime domain by being used for the construction of boats. Since the 1960s, Richlite has been increasingly used in food, especially in professional kitchens. This innovative material is part of new applications such as furniture, restaurant tables, worktops, kitchen doors, signage, coating or knife handles! The use of Richlite in such varied fields, proves and certifies its quality. It has become an ecological material for quality knife sleeves.
