A unique and precious sandwich damas steel.

The GoMay CuShim is a small jewel of inventiveness. It consists of:

- With a central 80Crv2 carbon steel core, ensuring a formidable edge and high wear resistance;

- Sides composed of a Damascus 15N20 and 1084 (close to our XC75 steel) of 100 layers;

- And a thin copper sheet separating the two layers.

The result? The images speak for themselves: a sharp edge of a deep black, complex flanks, clearly sliced by the warm tints of copper.

The Gator Piss blends different acids to dramatically blacken the carbon-loaded steel grades while maintaining the brilliance of 15N20 without ever eating non-ferrous metals.

Sizes studied for cutlery.

We propose the GoMai CuShim - Chevron in two distinct formats, studied for cutlery:

- Sections of 30 x 3 mm, suitable for making blades of small knives, fixed or folding;

- Bars in 60 x 3 mm, more suitable for large projects, such as hunting knives or kitchen blades.

The bars of GoMai CuShim are delivered annealed and rectified. Sold by centimeter, we cut the sections of your choice to order.

Since 2016, the American company has specialized in the design and forging of "classical" damas steels... But mostly "special" damas, including bronze, copper and other non-ferrous metals.

Unique reasons made possible by the development of a fusion welding technique for copper on carbon steel, allowing assemblies that were much more resistant than conventional welding methods had previously been possible.
