A new steel grade Damascus Coppermascus was born with a composition Copper/carbon steel 1084/Nickel: Damascus steel "Elite" Coppermascus.

High-end Damascus steel production Baker Forge, the "Elite" CopperMai grade with Chevron pattern remains true to an assembly forged on a 80crv2 carbon steel core but this time coated with a "Elite" Coppermascus damas composed of 1084 carbon steel, copper and pure nickel.

The revelation of this alloy reveals a quite remarkable set of colours where the deep black of 1084 steel contrasts elegantly with the bright white of pure nickel from which coppery sinuosities emerge.

Series of tests showed a much higher resistance to materials obtained by standard fusion, including shear tests.
