EUROTECHNI IS PROUD TO PRESENT YOU ITS BRAND NEW WEBSITE!
The G-string sisal brushing and polishing discs are made of braided natural fibres and combine sisal resistance with fibre flexibility to access difficult areas of all-metal parts.
Known for several hundred years for the properties of the fibers of its leaves, the Agava, a fat plant native to Mexico, has been widely used for the making of ropes. Today, most often replaced by polypropylene for ropes and twine, Sisal's fibres (in reference to the name of the Mexican port from which the processed Agave fibres originated) are used in the manufacture of polishing discs but also in several other artisanal fields.
Available in diameters of 250 to 400 mm for a thickness of 18 mm, the DISQUES A POLIR SISAL CORDE G are securely held by metal staples with a bore of diameters 80 or 130 mm and usually mounted with flasks on a workshop turret.
For a quality result and safe use, it is strongly recommended to wear personal protection equipment and must respect the recommended maximum rotation speeds.
POLIR SISAL CORDE G DISQUES may be used on all types of ferrous or non-ferrous metals regardless of the shape of the part to be treated. They will be particularly appreciated in the manufacture of knives for polishing of shape parts, and especially in places difficult to access.
The CORDE G SISAL DISQUES are always used with a suitable polishing paste, except in the case of a simple brushing.
To choose a polishing paste based on the materials to be processed and the desired result, you can consult our partner's blog SPAP Soucille, specialist since 1962 in abrasives and polishing products, especially for the manufacture of cutlery articles.
To strengthen the adhesion of the polishing paste on the disc and avoid too much pulp loss, it can be slightly impregnated with tallow.
